Breaking Out of the Cube

In the past month, I’ve heard about two former computer programmers who left the corporate life behind to live out their dreams as song writer/musicians. Having worked with a lot of computer programmers and systems engineers over the years, I know that many of them are talented musicians. And, of that group, I bet more than half dream of busting out of their cubicles and their comfort zones to pursue a music career.

Check out the MySpace pages of two guys who took the leap. The first former programmer turned Nashville songwriter is Bob Paterno. The second is Owen Sartori, whom I read about in the Escape From Cubicle Nation blog.

I am always inspired by people who leave the safety of an established career to strike out on their own to pursue their passion. If you know of any similar stories, please share them!
