Today is Earth Day and I’ve been thinking about what I can do to be more eco-conscious. I recycle my newspapers, but that is about the extent of it. So, I’ve decided that I’m going to pay the extra fee that my county charges to recycle more paper products as well as containers made of glass, aluminum, and plastic.

This past weekend, my husband and I cleaned out the garage. I now have lots of jars, old glass vases, and other items to recycle. My husband is going to donate some used sports equipment to a local youth sport’s program. And, I’m also going to start using all the canvas tote bags that I’ve gotten at conferences and business expos as shopping bags.
