For a fun diversion, check out this article from the Wall Street Journal (wsj.com) about the personality traits of people living in the 50 different states of the USA.  The most stressed out states were New York and New Jersey.  States with populations on the low end of the socio economic scale – West Virginia and Mississippi – were also stressed.  Stressed is my word; the study used the word ‘neurotic.’

North Dakota is the most outgoing state, ranking at the top for both extraversion and agreeableness.  New Mexico and North Carolina were found to be the most conscientious.  And, Washington DC was the most open state.  Interesting, to say the least.  Use this link to see how your State stacks up.
